Materials: Printable game board and spinner, game pieces (I used the ones from Sorry), flashcards with questions on them, pictorial worksheet, dice, conditions sheet, brown (or white) paper bags
Instructions (Board game): Students will get into pairs and each choose a game piece. One their turn, they will spin the spinner and move that amount of spaces. Their partner will take a flashcard from the top of the deck and ask their partner the question. These cards will have a mix of expanded, pictorial, and standard from questions on them. If they get the question right, they stay where they are. If they get it wrong, they move back to where they were before they spun the spinner. First person to reach the winner spot wins!
Instructions (Bag puppets): Each student will get a copy of the pictorial worksheet, the conditions sheet, and a paper bag. For each problem they will roll the die and fill it in for the blank on that problem and draw what they rolled. For example, if the blank was in the tens spot and I rolled a 3, I would draw 3 tens bars on my paper. They do this for all problems on the pictorial worksheet. Next, the will look at the conditions sheet and find their number corrisponding to each question. This will determine what features their puppet will have. They will do this for each problem until their puppet is finished.
