Materails: Large grid with answers on it (see photo for reference, this could be physical or on whiteboard), practice problem sheets, colored strips of paper to act as bars for graph (I put magnets on mine to help them stick)
Instructions (Rock, paper, scissors): Students will get in pairs and play 10 rounds of rock, paper, scissors. After each round students will color in a box depending on the result for them for the round. Ex: Student A wins and student B lost, student A colors in a box in the won column and student B colors in a box in the lost column.
Instructions (Word problems): Students will get in groups of about 4 or 5. They will work as a group to solve the word problems on their color group work sheet. After they solve each problem, one person from the group will run to the grid with the answers on it and put a box over their answer. This activity is supposed to act like a relay race so which ever group fills their column first wins!
