2nd Grade Financial Literacy

Materials: Budget worksheets, fake food or food substitute (flash cards would also work really well), calculator (if needed)

Instructions: Students will form in groups of about 4 or 5. They take turns reading the ingredients list and noting that they also have a budget. Next students find the food pairs, noting that one is more expensive than the other. Then, they work as a team to figure out if they want to use the more or less expensive item. The goal is to get all the ingredients for the recipe without going over budget.
